Section 1.
Neither slavery nor involuntar
y servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdicti
on.

le searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmatio
n, and particular
ly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Do our "represent
atives" even consult this document when they are considerin
