I give a lot to Breast Cancer awareness. I may not be wealthy and able to cut large checks but I do support with my wallet. When I see products that give portions of their proceeds to Breast Cancer Awareness I will purchase it every time. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to have a mastectomy
. She took it in stride. She was very aware of the procedure being an RN and was prepared for the consequences when she went into surgery.
It was a big ordeal for our family and the last thing we were thinking was "hey, I wonder if the people who puts out this literature is doing anything nefarious." She survived and it has been more than ten years. My mother even signed up and did a blind study for certain drugs they were testing for cancer survivors that went on for five years. So it disturbs to see this me when my mother was so selfless with her health to help further research for people who will suffer the same condition as her.
I will make myself aware of every product or endorsement Susan G. Komen for the Cure is behind or whoever is supporting them and will be sure not to purchase it. I will also make a donation to Planned Parenthood for all the good things they do. It is disgusting for them to bring politics into the matter.
