My DSL went down the other night. Something simple to fix if I had a decent ISP. I have a third party ISP whose office hours are 9:00am to 8:00pm and I had to wait until they came in at 9:00am to reset their equipment. Luckily or not, I they let there customers also keep their old dial-up accounts so I could use my modem and dial in until they fixed the problem. It was actually pretty useless because everything is so high speed a 56k modem can't even keep up with the simplest of sites, not to mention this site. I barely get by now because all I can afford is 1.5mb DSL and I really don't want my surf speed getting throttled just because the site I want to go to doesn't pay as much as their competitor.
