Stewart Takes On Ground Zero Mosque Critics (VIDEO)

My mother was raised Catholic. School and the whole nine yards. She had both of my sisters baptized Catholic. When I was born she tried to have me baptized Catholic and the church wouldn't allow it because St.George was no longer considered a saint or something like that. All I know is they would not allow her to baptize me unless she changed my name, that wasn't going to happen, it was a third generation name.

She stopped going to church, I don't know why. I grew up going to various churches and eventually got baptized at a small nondenominational church in Brandywine, Md. as a surprise for my soon to be wife. After we got married at a nice Baptist church here in NC we thought we would go to church there and become members. This is a church I went to as a kid, among the various other churches of several denominations. When we asked what we had to do to become members we were told to get some kind of formal letter where we were originally baptized. When we asked the people at the church in Brandywine about it they said they didn't do that stuff because anybody was welcome in their church. When we told the cul.. I mean people at Bethel Baptist this they said we couldn't join but we were welcome to come to service whenever we liked. Being refused from two different churches I relate more with Deist like our Founding Fathers.
