Planned Parenthood Investigation Is An Abuse Of Government Resources, Democrats Charge

Yes, I agree Planned Parenthood shouldn't be getting kicked around. But part of the courts argument was that the Government had no business getting between a decision made between a woman and her doctor.

"Since Griswold, the Supreme Court has cited the right to privacy in several rulings, most notably in Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973), where the Court ruled that a woman's choice to have an abortion was protected as a private decision between her and her doctor."

"Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973),[1] was a landmark controversial decision by the United States Supreme Court on the issue of abortion. The Court decided that a right to privacy under the due process clause in the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution extends to a woman's decision to have an abortion, but that right must be balanced against the state's two legitimate interests for regulating abortions: protecting prenatal life and protecting the mother's health."
