Tony Hopfinger, Reporter Detained By Joe Miller's Security Guards, Speaks Out About Ordeal (VIDEO)

These people have no respect for nobody. They look down their noses at others they feel are below them. Miller steadily refers to Tony Hopfinger as a blogger when he is an accomplished reporter, If you have the stomach to visit the C4P site, they refer to the "democrat party" knowing d**n well it is the Democratic Party. Why anyone would consider giving these people your vote much less your time is beyond me. If you don't agree with them they don't have the time of day for you. No civility! No honor! No respect!

Joe Miller Security Guards Handcuff & Detain 'Alaska Dispatch' Editor

One of the guards grabbed Hopfinger's video camera. Later, Hopfinger said that when he got the camera back, the segment covering the span of the arrest was missing. An Anchorage police officer offered to take the camera into custody and have it examined in the crime lab to investigate whether evidence had been destroyed, but Hopfinger declined. He said he needed the camera and the remaining video for his work.

"The guard who grabbed the camera said Hopfinger had dropped it in the scuffle and denied erasing anything. The guard wouldn't give his name.

While Hopfinger was still in handcuffs, the guards attempted to prevent other reporters from talking to him and threatened them too with arrest for trespass."

And the Tea party people want to accuse President Obama of making us live in a police state.

And the Miller campaign condones this:

"The Miller campaign released a written one-paragraph statement from Fuller, then followed with a statement titled, "Liberal Blogger 'Loses It' at Town Hall Meeting." In that statement, Miller accused Hopfinger of assaulting someone and of taking advantage of the meeting to "create a publicity stunt.""

Scores Of Republicans Who Opposed Stimulus Sought Funds In Private Letters

This hypocrisy isn't surprising. "paulita" posted a link yesterday that "GeorgieGirl9" was posting.

This is the post from paulita:

But the Republicans don't introduce any bills. There are 17 pages of bills in this list. Enjoy

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When asked what the GOP has done to revive the economy, as in what legislation they have introduced, Georgie Girl provided this link.

So far it shows what Democrats have done to revive the economy and it's a GOP.gov cite.

So please share it with your friends to show what will be done under a Republican Congress.

NOTHING!

______________________________________________________________________

If you click the link and check each of the bills you will see they were nearly all, if not all, introduced by a Democrat. Just another example of Republicans running off of Democrats work and taking credit for it.

Thank you paulita, Again, good catch.

Democratic Enthusiasm Gap: Large Number Of Obama Supporters Defecting To GOP

I don't understand HP steadily posting this woman's stories when, if you Google her name, you get results that aren't very flattering. Even people in her field don't give her any credibility. Everything I've seen that she writes is biased. Not to the left or the right but to whatever her opinion is that she is trying to make. I'm getting to the point if I see that she wrote it then I'm not going to waste my time reading it. From what I see she has been against President Obama since the get go....

Karl Rove Denies GOP Gets Cash From Foreign Sources (VIDEO)

"Karl Rove Denies GOP Gets Cash From Foreign Sources" is the worst and most misleading headline I've seen yet! I didn't hear Rove deny a thing. What's curious is Republicans want to argue money is fungible when you are receiving Federal help like food stamps or Medicaid. They claim money is fungible when it comes to abortions but in this case you don't hear the same argument. Only when it's convenient for them....

Michigan Federal Judge Rejects Challenge To Health Care Overhaul

"The four individual plaintiffs said they do not have private insurance and object to being compelled to buy it. They also fear that any financial penalty paid to the government if they don't get insurance by 2014 would be used to pay for abortions."

_______________________________________________________________________

Is this a joke? The money they are spending in attorney fees will probably pay a lifetime of premiums. And if the Government money is going towards paying for abortions, which it isn't, then wouldn't the taxes the attorneys are paying in turn be going towards abortions. These people are full of it. They are only being against this just for the sake of being against it, otherwise they would read the law and see that none of the money will be going towards abortion.

The Untold Story of TARP

I'm no financial expert by any stretch but TARP was necessary and I understand the gist of it. There was more at stake than Wall Street and god forbid I'm not going to defend them but TARP wasn't just for Wall Street but to keep the global economy from tanking. Yes, we would have survived without TARP but if you think things are bad now, it would have been ten times worse. As far as the rest of us not on Wall Street there was the stimulus, which had nothing to do with TARP, that was passed by President Obama despite the lack of help from most Republicans. Had President Obama gotten what he wanted and what he knew was needed we would be much better off right now. But thanks to Republican obstructionism it wound up getting cut in half and therefore only got the job halfway done.

Sen. Jim DeMint: Gays And Unmarried, Pregnant Women Should Not Teach Public School

And that is exactly what I admire about most Gay people. They are unnecessarily forced to take the harder road in life to be true to themselves just to have to hear people like DeMint make the hurtful comments he makes. It's sad that all Gay people don't have the strength to be able to be true to themselves. I don't fault them for that. Not everybody is ready to deal with the hate and bigotry that is prevalent in our Country these days. Some families aren't even willing to deal with someone being Gay in their own family. So much for unconditional love. But I try to be supportive of any of my Gay friends which are the friends you usually know exactly where you stand with because they aren't hiding anything. And I hope they know it.

Sen. Jim DeMint: Gays And Unmarried, Pregnant Women Should Not Teach Public School

Sadly, someone like DeMint is going to be able to walk right back into the Senate because of some suspicious dealings in the primaries in SC. I did love the question another commenter brought up which I would love to hear Sarah Palin answer and that was "would Bristol Palin be allowed to teach?"

The problem with this line of thinking is it would require more Government to peer into my bedroom to know what I was doing so you could determine my job status. You know,a larger Government.

This kind of hate speech should not be tolerated by regular citizens on a commonsense level. It just amazes me these are the same people, who make comments like DeMint make, that compare President Obama to Hitler. Do you see the irony there?

Tens Of Thousands Of Progressives Rally At The Lincoln Memorial For Jobs, Justice And Education

Why do people want to compare the numbers of attendees to Becks rally when Beck was promoting his book signing... I mean rally, for about a year. Becks "rally" was originally planned as a promotion for his book and somewhere along the line it morphed into a "Rally". It was only in the final days leading up to the "rally" that his people told him be shouldn't mention his book. Regardless it's like comparing apples to oranges and if I had a way I would much rather be at the "One Nation" rally before I would want to go to a Glenn Beck book promotion. Not to mention days later have to pay to attend a "Rally" on Sept.11 in Alaska.

The Republicans have no leadership and to quote Lewis Rothschild from the movie "The American President" -"They want leadership. They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand." and Glenn Beck is the sand.
